John S. Churchill

Mr. Churchill has over 20 years experience in accounting and auditing, including several years as an audit partner with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) both in the United States and in Australia. In addition, he has over 10 years experience in Executive Search as a partner with a major international search group. His areas of expertise include management evaluation and assessment, executive compensation and employee benefits, strategic planning and analysis, development of financial controls and systems and financial restructuring. Mr. Churchill has broad industry experience that includes:

  • Mr. Churchill’s experience includes the following:

  • Operational and financial restructuring for healthy and financially stressed organizations encompassing financing, viability assessment, turnaround consulting, crisis management, cost reduction, and liquidity improvement.
  • Coordinated activities in sourcing specialized temporary personnel as well as performing executive searches for long-term management.
  • For various clients assisted in identifying and evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities and worked closely with management and advisors to structure and negotiate transactions.
  • International experience: Having lived outside the United States for 12 years in both Japan and Australia, he is comfortable with different business practices and cultural backgrounds and has significant experience advising clients on international business activities.
  • Mr. Churchill began his career with Marine Midland Bank in New York City as a credit trainee. He joined Arthur Young in New York and subsequently transferred to Tokyo where he was responsible for clients in both Japan and Korea. He transferred to Atlanta in 1973, and following his promotion to audit partner he transferred to Jacksonville, Florida. In 1982 Mr. Churchill transferred to Sydney, Australia, and in 1985 he left Arthur Young to join an international executive search firm. He returned to Atlanta with an affiliate of the executive search firm, Lamalie Amrop International. Since 1995, he has been consulting in turnaround management and financial restructuring.

    Mr. Churchill has a BA degree in Chemistry from Williams College and an MBA in Accounting from New York University. He is a CPA in New York, Georgia and Florida and is a member of the American Institute of CPA's. He and his wife reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
