Ben founded The Interlochen Group in 2000. He is responsible for defining and implementing the corporate strategy of the firm, as well as building and maintaining relationships with trusted advisors, select professional service providers, and private equity sponsors.
Ben has over 20 years of experience in banking, asset management, public and corporate finance, venture capital, and management. As a member of KPMG Corporate Finance in Atlanta, his responsibilities included originating and executing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures throughout the southeastern United States. In Chicago, Ben worked in Nuveen's public finance group. He also worked for a boutique Chicago-based, asset management firm that provided private equity and growth capital. He was part of a small group that closed nearly 30 private placements during his tenure.
Ben graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Finance and earned his MBA from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University. He has served on the boards of YEO (Young Entrepreneurs' Organization), College-Prep (Free The Children), The Atlanta Youth Academy, and is a member of the Leadership Committee at Zoo Atlanta. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Ansley Golf Club of Atlanta, and Glen View Club in Chicago.
